Alive At Five
Alive at Five has kept downtown Albany's spirits high after work on Thursdays throughout the summer for 21 years. The stage comes alive with music from national, regional and local artists; each night plays host to a different genre of music. The weekend kicks-off with an early start, as many of Albany's professionals, community members and friends enjoy the diverse musical talent presented during the series.

Festival
The Schuyler County Italian American Festival will be running between July 30th
and August 1st. Clute Park is at the southern
end of New York’s Seneca Lake and there will be about 40 crafters and
20 food concessions this year. The Festival will have
amusement rides and concessions, casino games, bingo, and there will be a pasta
eating contest, a Tae Kwan Do exhibition
and Buford and the Smokin’ Section will be performing on the sound stage
in the evening. Saturday’s bocce tournament begins
at 10 am and the parade starts at noon. A Roman Catholic Mass will be held in
the pavilion and a dance group will perform.
The evening’s events will include Shylock Foxx and fireworks will begin
at 10.15pm. Lodging and maps can be found on the

The Turning Point Parade

The Turning Point Parade
The Turning Point Parade’s parade is on the 1st of August, and the event’s
activities take place over the entire weekend.
Taking place in Schuylerville’s Fort Hardy Park, visitors will be able
to see displays of where the British Army was defeated in
1777. The victory at Saratoga is said to have been the turning point in America’s
War of Independence. The parade has gone
on from its celebration of this to recognize the veterans and military service
personnel from every era, age and conflict. Fort

The Victorian Leisure Fair

The Victorian Leisure Fair
The First Annual Victorian Leisure Fair will be held weekends July 31st through September 5th from 10AM to 6PM at the Erie Canal Village in Rome, New York. It will feature stage plays, musical groups, living history reenactment, a working steam train and packet boat, vendors selling Victorian Wares, and fine foods from all over the English Empire. The Fair will focus on the entirety of the Age of Industry and Innovation that was the Victorian Era, and all parts of Queen Victoria’s realm. Brockport Summer Arts Festival
The Brockport Summer Arts Festival takes place inside the State University New
York’s Brockport campus and have over
one hundred artists and crafters of ceramics, glass, paintings, sculpture, leather
and wood taking part in this year’s show. A
variety of foodstuffs will be available from vendors and music will be provided.
There will be children’s activities and the very

A week of demolition derbies, stock car football, Billy Currington and the Fulton
Chain Gang in concert, a monster truck rally,
motorcycle stunts and agricultural exhibits await you. The web site’s

8th annual NYC Musical Saw Festival Astoria, New York August 7th NYC Musical Saw Festival
Concert & art exhibit revolving around the 300 year old art of playing music on a carpenter's handsaw. Musical saw solos & ensembles, performing many music styles (jazz, classical, pop, folk, show-tunes, etc.) performed by musical saw players from all over the world. Also - 'Ameriklectic' - a 10 piece band featuring the musical saw as the lead instrument.
The festival is made possible by the Queens Council on the Arts with public funding from the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs and the NY State Council on the Arts.
