The Shoreline Jewish Festival—A celebration of Jewish life! August 1, 12:00 PM-6:00 PM, on the Guilford Green. Jewish Music from around the world, puppet shows, Israeli food and other fair favorites, local and Israeli vendors of Judaica and Jewish art, Jewish book sale, craft projects for kids, moonbounce, info fair of local Jewish groups & organizations. Music Festival
This is the first annual festival celebration of Jewish Women making music,
and will be offering classes with renowned artists,
as well as workshops in song sharing, the writing of spiritual songs, song and
ritual, using chant, drumming, the leadership of
audience, choral leadership and a cappella performance. You can jam at the Festival
and every night there will be an unsolicited
performance as well as open mic opportunities. In the Elat Chayyim tradition,
Shabbat will be a central part of the festival. The
festival will be finishing on Sunday the 8th of August with a performances by
Linda Hirschhorn, Yofiyah, Rakia Shemaya,
Basya Schechter, Tova Kardonne and Chana Rothman at the Isabella Freedman Jewish
Retreat Center.
